Dr. Michael Devine leads BoxWhatBox Workhop in Toronto, October 16-17, 2015
Acadia Theatre programme professor Dr. Michael Devine led a two-day workshop with professional actors of his ground-breaking performance method, BoxWhatBox, in October 2015. Devine was working with Toronto actors for the first time since 2010; he has taken BoxWhatBox to more than 20 countries on five continents over the past twelve years. Ten hours of intensive actor training in Toronto featured Devine’s trademark mix of original games, exercises and études with a focus on new research into the actor’s four expressive vocabularies. In February 2016 Michael will travel to Beirut, Lebanon, to lead BoxWhatBox and begin work on a performance collaboration with Tahweel Ensemble Theatre.
