Acadia Theatre grad Loretta Yu (’04) has a principal role in the new OMNI TV series Blood and Water, which aired its first episode on the multicultural broadcaster November 8. Yu, a New Glasgow native who trained at Acadia and with Acadia theatre professor Michael Devine at the Centre for Alternative Theatre Training (CATT) in 2013, plays Teresa Fae, wife of the son of a prominent Asian-Canadian developer who is killed in mysterious circumstances. The series features dialogue in English, Mandarin and Cantonese and is being hailed as a ground-breaking development in Canadian television.
